According to traditional medicine, Mallow for external use has anti-inflammatory, emollient and astringent properties. It is very good in cases of gingivitis, skin irritation, but also for relief from annoying hemorrhoids. In the form of a warm infusion compress, it has amazing results on the dryness of the tear ducts.
In the international literature it has been reported that if we drink 2-3 cups of mallow a day, together with compresses of drained leaves on the chest at night, they have very good results in emphysema or in cases of shortness of breath. Mallow baths help to relieve swollen feet especially after a fracture, it also softens calluses.
Finally, it is still used in cases of: intestinal problems, colic, gastritis, cystitis, diarrhea, catarrh, pneumonia, hoarseness, acute dysentery, urinary retention, hematuria, bladder inflammation, kidney problems.

Preparation:
1 tablespoon of grated mallow (or a pinch of ariftif) is scalded with 1 glass of boiling water in a covered container, left for 10-15 minutes and drained before use.
